New York holds a special place in my heart.

I'm originally from Milano, but New York holds a special place in my heart. It was the place of my honeymoon, the city where I began my journey outside Italy, and the first place I ever rented a tuk-tuk. I'm very familiar with the city and I'd like to share my  favorite spots for dining, shopping, and socializing with you.

New York City is full of great places to eat, shop, and have fun. Here are some of my personal favorites that I recommend to anyone visiting the city.

Ruby's Cafe is one of my go-to spots for dinner. They have a great selection of dishes, but I particularly recommend the Bronte burger and the lamb ragu pasta.

If you're looking for unique designer fashion, check out Jeffrey on the West Side. They carry a wide variety of brands, including Chanel sneakers and the latest Alexander Wang designs, as well as vintage bags and sunglasses. It's the perfect place to spend a Sunday.

For meat lovers and fans of Japanese cuisine, Gyu Kaku is a must-try. It's a Japanese BBQ where you can cook your own meat with friends or a date. Make sure to finish off your meal with their smores for dessert.

Another great food spot is The Boil Downtown, which is perfect for seafood lovers. It's a bit messy, but the crab legs are worth it, and it's a great spot for Instagram photos.

Sephora is a makeup and skincare paradise, and it's something the U.K. could use more of. I love their own brand of makeup brushes and facial masks, so it's definitely worth checking out if you're in town.

Metropolis Vintage is always on my list of places to visit when I'm in the city. They have a great selection of denim and vintage sportswear from brands like Levi's and New Balance, but also carries some great unbranded pieces at great prices.

Chelsea Market is a food lover's paradise, with a wide variety of cuisine under one roof. If you're a fan of tacos, be sure to try Los Tacos No.1. And for dessert, The Doughnuttery has amazing doughnut bites with unique toppings and sauces. My personal favorite is the classic cinnamon doughnuts with the Walters caramel and beer batter caramel dipping sauce.

Finally, Barneys is a must-visit for designer fashion. You can find great deals during sale season. Don't leave New York City without visiting this store.
